Tangible Heritage of Ancient Times : approaches, contexts, interpretations. VITA ANTIQUA 16. Kyiv : Center for Paleoethnological Research, 2025
The annual almanac brings together research devoted to the study, preservation, and interpretation of material heritage from the Palaeolithic to the Middle Ages. The contributions represent a wide chronological and thematic range — from analyses of prehistoric technologies and burial complexes to studies of Classical and medieval artefacts, as well as museological reflections on the fate of archaeological collections and heritage protection in modern contexts. The publication highlights diverse methodological and theoretical approaches to understanding the tangible traces of the past, emphasizing their cultural, historical, and interpretative significance. It aims to foster dialogue between archaeology, heritage studies, and museology, demonstrating the relevance of integrated research perspectives for safeguarding and rethinking the ancient material legacy.
